Alex began his career in the wine industry while living in Australia. His first harvest was in 2012 in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
From there he caught the wine bug and continued by doing a harvest in Napa/Carneros California and then another harvest in New Zealand. Upon returning back to the states and completing his first stint at Emeritus he spent some time working at Trinchero Family Estates in St. Helena.
Alex came back to Emeritus for the 2016 harvest and is eager to continue his role here as Cellar Master. After working at several larger, more corporate wineries, he is excited to be working for a smaller winery that has a singular focus. He loves that his work is hands on and that he can be involved in every step of the wine making process. What he enjoys most is the sense of accomplishment he feels after the wine makes it into the bottle and the feeling that he created something that can be enjoyed by others.
