Bill is Emeritus’ Wine Wolf. Bill served in the Army before starting a corporate career where he worked in upper management. Over the years, he developed a propensity for good food and wine at business dinners across the globe.
In his retirement, his love of wine and passion to educate brought him into the wine industry. While attending an industry event Bill had the pleasure of meeting our Assistant Winemaker and was intrigued to hear about our dry farming practices. He knew he wanted to be involved! Shortly after he joined the Emeritus team working in the new tasting room where he enjoys educating guests about dry farming and recommending mouthwatering dishes to pair with each wine.
Bill is a huge foodie, he and his partner enjoy eating their way through Sonoma County restaurants and cheese shops. He also enjoys hosting food and wine events at his home on the Russian River. Each meal is part education and part indulgence as his love of educating is inescapable. Guests at his home and at Emeritus are always treated to warm hospitality.
