Fine wine is in Michael’s blood. With a commitment to service and hospitality, his passion for Emeritus is a natural extension. Michael first met Brice during a ride-along when he was a distributor rep in Washington DC, where he had also helped to develop one of America’s first wine bars.
He started working with Brice at Sonoma-Cutrer in 1988, eventually becoming the National Sales Manager. From there, Michael went on to work for the Henry Wine Group as National Sales Manager, which became the framework for his understanding relationships in 3-tier distribution.
Included in Michael’s experience is studying with the Sommelier Society and with the Court of Master Sommeliers. His passion and dedication for focused wineries like Emeritus is aligned with Brice’s vision of wine with integrity, balance and a signature of place.
Michael loves helping our distributors and accounts to understand Emeritus Pinot Noir. He is inspired by the challenge of building brand recognition and value. Through our world class distribution, knowing the customer and efforts in staff training. He is especially proud of the top accolades Emeritus continues to receive from the press, buyers and most of all, the consumers!
