Thanksgiving at Emeritus
We celebrated Thanksgiving as a company yesterday. Many of our team have worked together for 30+ years, some for only 15, and then of course we have some newbies who were at their first Emeritus Thanksgiving. Brice noted that he has been doing this since 1982!
We use Thanksgiving as a day to cook together, eat together and share our gratitude for each other, and our harvest. Without each other we wouldn't have a company (or delicious Pinot to drink!).
Everyone cooks their favorite dish, this year Laurel, Marisa and Samantha cooked the turkeys, Cristino (as always) made the best mashed potatoes, Alex (our new cellar rat) made stuffing. Carey had to double her recipe for her coconut shrimp because they go so fast! We brought out fun wines from our cellars, including a 2006 Hallberg Ranch (delicious!). Our lunch concluded with our Thanksgiving tradition (as it is in our family) Brice gave a toast and spoke about the history of Thanksgiving starting with the Pilgrims.
We wanted to share some of our traditions with you as a way of expressing our gratitude for your support of us! Please enjoy a selection of dishes from our team and our Thanksgiving feast! (Each dish is a link to download the recipe.)
