2018 Emeritus Vineyards, Hallberg Blanc Magnum

This wine is made by gently removing juice from our Pinot Noir grapes prior to any skin contact. The juice is fermented in a concrete tank and neutral barrels using native yeast and low temperatures. The result is a pale, super-aromatic and beautifully textural wine that gives a nod to Pinot Noir, while being wholly unique.
In the glass, the aromas offer a decidedly nectar-like quality with notes of fresh apricot, peach juice, sun-warmed hay, as well as yeasty hints reminiscent of a young vintage sparkling wine. Though rich and textural, a seamless balance between the wine’s energizing acidity and Pinot tannins provides a lovely vibrancy to the wine that adds poise and purity to the bright, stone fruit flavors.
