William Wesley

The William Wesley Vineyard is planted on Goldridge soils, on a 30% slope, at an elevation of 967 feet above sea level, and about five miles inland from the Pacific Coast—just behind a low range of coastal “mountains.” The temperate climate resulting from the proximity to the Pacific Ocean lengthens the growing season and produces grapes of great character and distinct personality. The wine produced from these grapes tends to be high in phenols and tannins, which requires particular diligence in the winemaking, and longer aging in bottle in order to realize the full potential of such distinctive grapes.
